A project capturing the use of an underutilized, steep slope site, the adventure park design has turned the dreams of a developer into a resounding success. Nestled in the Bavarian-inspired village, the Leavenworth Adventure Park stands at the gateway to Tumwater Canyon, marking the intersection of Highway 2 and Icicle Road. Home to a variety of attractions—this park beckons adventurers from all walks of life.
The 8,500 square foot Guest Service Center serves as a central hub, integrating a viewing area, event space, and provisions for food and merchandise. Designed with an alpine aesthetic ingrained in every detail, the park radiates a sense of frivolous folly, encouraging children and adults to revel in their play amidst the mountains. This project transcends conventional norms, fostering connections with nature in ways not typically experienced or accessible. Despite the challenges posed by a small footprint and intricate arrival and departure points, the Leavenworth Adventure Park emerges as a testament to the joyous intersection of design and play in the heart of the alpine landscape.
